Description:
This is a painting of Mary Magdalene. I wanted to create an image where I could just look at Her and receive a quick infusion of Her energy. I use some of her identifying symbols: The Egg (see Magdalene Beloved and Sovereign for the story behind this), her alabaster anointing jar, and the color red—the color of spiritual authority. I also used symbols that effect me personally: Hummingbirds, apple blossoms and bees. Then I blessed it all by throwing some roses, and rose petals on Her.
