Description:
In this painting I was trying to envision what it would be like if Mary Magdalene came back to us. If we, as a people, had a second chance to honor Her in the way that She deserved to honored. What would it be like, to have Her, as an older woman, bless us with Her presence? The models brought their own magic in the form of love. This is the most meaningful painting I've ever made. It now lives at St. John's Episcopal Church, in Petaluma, CA.
