Eve's Granddaughter

from $65.00

Original Acrylic, 21” x 16"  • $3800

Print: 13” x 19” • $65

"Eve’s Granddaughter," shows Eve's offspring determined, and thoughtful, about picking the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. Butterflies of transformation abound all around her. She willingly embraces the reality of Life, which includes the mystery of Death.

Have you ever considered the insane amount of suffering women have endured because of that biblical story about Eve? It’s time for that needless suffering to end.

In my experience the Holy only blesses us, cherishes us, encourages us. It’s only the patriarchy who would launch an eternal “curse” in an effort to control and dominate women. The Holy would never, ever, do such a thing.

The lack of equality for women today, can often be traced back to that insane narrative about Eve. During the Women’s Suffrage Movement, some members of the U.S. Congress actually used the "Eve story" to try to suppress women's right to vote. That was not so long ago, the 19th amendment passed in 1920.

Women must write the narrative of their own experience. When we do, the world will change. My wish is to change the story through imagery.
