I’m inspired by the Ukrainian spirit and commitment to freedom. In this painting of, Our Lady of Ukraine, I show her leading the way through the darkness. The Sunflower is the Ukrainian National Flower. The nightingale, is the Ukrainian National bird. The bird is singing in their National tree, the Viburnum, Willow. In Our Lady’s nimbus are the colors of the Ukrainian flag, yellow and blue, surrounded by sunflower seeds and wheat, the crop Ukraine is famous for.
The profit from the sale of this painting will be donated to UNICEF’s Ukrainian Children’s Fund. Above all the children of Ukraine need peace.
