I love poetry, it has saved me many times in my life, and Saint Brigid is the Patron Saint of Poets. Many people think that Saint Brigid is really the tremendously popular Celtic Goddess, who shared the same name. Brigid was known for making the ordinary sacred. Here she is shown holding Brigid’s cross, woven out of straw. In the background, night and day to show she is always with us. An owl for wisdom and the bluebird of Happiness.
